The Haughton Lady Bucs and Plain Dealing Lady Lions picked up victories Thursday.
Haughton defeated Jonesboro-Hodge 67-34 on the first day of the Quitman tournament.
Plain Dealing downed Hornbeck 45-35 at Plain Dealing.
Elsewhere, Airline fell to Sterlington 54-32 at Airline and Benton dropped a 54-36 decision to Sam Houston in the South Beauregard tournament.
Skylar Branch poured in 30 points and Bella Hammond had 25 to lead Haughton (3-5).
Branch scored 13 in the first quarter as the Lady Bucs raced to a 25-9 lead. Hammond knocked down two 3-pointers and scored eight in the fourth.
Haughton improved to 3-5.
At Plain Dealing, Jakayla Douglas and Brianna Newton led the Lady Lions (4-2) with 17 and 15 points, respectively. Plain Dealing has won three in a row.
At Airline, Nia Willams and Ke’Zyriah Sykes led the Lady Vikings with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Addison McDowell added six.
Williams hit four 3-pointers in the second half, three in the third quarter.
