The Bossier City Police Department is reminding residents to use extra
caution on the roads as icy and wintry weather is expected to move into the Ark-La-Tex area.
With freezing temperatures and the potential for ice on roadways, drivers are urged to slow down,
increase following distances, and avoid sudden braking. Bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas may
become icy first and can be especially dangerous.
Residents are encouraged to limit travel if possible, during periods of severe weather and to stay
informed by monitoring local forecasts and weather alerts.
The Bossier City Police Department will continue to monitor road conditions and urges everyone to
put safety first during this winter weather event.
