The Bossier Bearkats are closing in on another district championship.
Bossier defeated Woodlawn 79-59 in a District 1-4A game at Bossier. The Bearkats can clinch at least a share of the title with a victory against North DeSoto Friday at home.
Bossier improved to 18-7 overall and 5-0 in district. Going into the game, the Bearkats were No. 1 in the non-select Division II power rankings.
Braylon Robinson led the Bearkats with 22 points. Ethan Dodson and JD Davis scored 16 and 15, respectively. Ron Dillard added 12 and DT Thomas 10.
Bossier led 32-26 at the half. The Bearkats scored 25 in the third quarter and led 57-44 going into the fourth. Thomas hit two 3-pointers and scored eight in the third. Davis made one and scored seven. Robinson chipped in six.
Woodlawn dropped to 13-9 and 2-3.
