The No. 8 seed Bossier Bearkats fell to No. 1 and defending state champion University Lab 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the Division III playoffs Tuesday in Baton Rouge.
Bossier finished 11-8-2 in Gerardo Martinez’s first season as head coach. The Bearkats reached the quarterfinals for the seventh straight season. They were looking for their fifth straight semifinal berth.
Bossier has nine seniors most of whom contributed to the Bearkats’ success over the last few seasons.
University (18-3-2) will play No. 4 Archbishop Hannan in the semifinals.
University scored all five goals in the first half, including two on penalty kicks.
