The Haughton Bucs, Airline Vikings and Parkway Panthers posted victories Saturday.
Haughton completed a three-game sweep of Northwood 7-0 at Northwood.
Airline and Parkway won games in the Lakeside tournament. The Vikings defeated Winnfield 11-1 and the Panthers downed Lakeside 13-4.
Benton tied Liberty-Eylau 6-6 in the Texas High tournament. It was the Tigers’ second tie by that score in the tournament.
At Northwood, Russ Barrett went 3-for-4. Haughton coach Glenn Maynor, who now has 699 career victories, used five pitchers. They limited the Falcons to four hits and combined for nine strikeouts. Barrett got the win.
The Bucs (9-4) open District 1-5A play Tuesday at home against Natchitoches Central.
At the Lakeside tournament, Airline’s Silas Endris pitched a one-hitter. He struck out five and walked two in the five-inning game.
Austin Smith went 2-for-2 with four RBI. Drew Robinson went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Peyton Hughes had a double.
Airline (5-8) opens district play Tuesday at Evangel Christian.
Parkway’s Colby Donaldson went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Kirby Haskins went 3-for-3. Jax Thomson went 2-for-3 with two doubles.
Kingston Meza went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Peyton Rayner went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Brayden Scott had a double.
Starter Corey Paeth allowed three hits, struck out four and walked one in three innings. Zach Plunkett allowed two hits, struck out three and walked none in four innings.
Parkway (4-7) hosts Homer Wednesday. The Panthers open district play Saturday at Captain Shreve.
