The Plain Dealing Lady Lions tan their record to 6-0 with a doubleheader sweep of Bossier Friday at Bossier’s home field at Rusheon.
The first game went two innings and the second three.
Elsewhere, Benton and Haughton lost games in the ASH tournament.
The Lady Tigers fell to Ouachita Parish 5-4 and the Lady Bucs dropped a 7-4 decision to Alexandria.
At Bossier, Zakira Lewis, Neveah Fisk, Sanaa Lyles and Alainah Brooks all had three hits in the first game. Sophie Green, Ryelin West and Jakayla Douglas had two apiece.
Lyles had four hits in the second game. Lewis, Brooks, West, Brianna Newton and Adoremus all had three. B Fisk, McKenna Fisk and Sophia Smith all had two.
Plain Dealing opens District 1-1A play Tuesday at Haynesville at 5.
At the ASH tournament, Benton broke a 3-3 tie with a run in the top of seventh. But Ouachita Parish scored two with two outs in the bottom of the inning to claim the win.
Bayleigh Moniz went 2-for-4. Audrey Stark and Emma Holmes had one double each.
Benton dropped to 3-8. Ouachita Parish improved to 8-4.
Haughton had 10 hits against Alexandria. Reese Mayfield went 2-for-3 with a double. Skylar Hogan went 2-for-4.
Kallie Sanderlin didn’t allow a hit in 2 2/3 innings of relief. She struck out five and walked none.
Haughton dropped to 6-6. Alexandria improved to 6-3.
