Bossier Parks and Recreation Press Release
Bossier Parks and Recreation is set to host an action-packed weekend as Opening Day for Spring Soccer kicks off this Saturday, April 11, at the Bossier Soccer Complex at Tinsley Park.
The department anticipates over 2,000 attendees throughout the day, including players, parents, coaches, grandparents, and fans, all coming together to celebrate the start of the spring soccer season.
Opening Day marks a special time for the community as families gather to support youth athletes and enjoy a day filled with energy, teamwork, and fun.
In addition to soccer festivities, Bossier City will also welcome a large-scale youth baseball tournament taking place across multiple facilities, including:
• Tinsley Fields
• Walbrook Park
• Meadowview Park
• Little League Fields
The tournament will feature over 300 teams, bringing in athletes and visitors from across the region and creating a significant boost in community activity and tourism.
“This weekend truly showcases the strength of youth sports in Bossier City,” said Mary Ward, Director of Bossier Parks and Recreation “We are proud to provide opportunities for thousands of young athletes to play, compete, and create lasting memories.
