High school soccer: Parish players named to coaches’ All-State teams

Benton junior forward Eden Whiteman and midfielder Eryn Flowers have been named to the Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches’ Association Division I girls All-State team.

Whiteman scored 21 goals and had 19 assists in the regular season. Flowers scored 21 goals and had 14 assists.

Benton senior defender Karsyn Best was named to the second team. All three helped the Lady Tigers reach the non-select Division I semifinals, the first time a Benton girls team has reached the semifinals in school history.

Parkway senior forward Emma Albarado, the District 1-II Offensive MVP, and junior midfielder Sofia Bright were named to the Division II girls second team. 

Albarado scored more than 100 goals in her four-year career. She has signed with Belhaven.

Bright is a three-year starter.

Bossier senior Bryan Tuyizere, the District 1-III Offensive MVP and senior midfielder Wilson Alvarado were named to the Division III boys second team.

Providence Classical Academy senior center back/DMAli Hamic was named to the Division IV girls second team.

Hamic scored 30 goals and had 16 assists.
