Women’s basketball: Mikaylah Williams leads USA to quarterfinal victory in FIBA 3×3 Women’s World Cup

Former Parkway and current LSU star Mikaylah Williams led the USA past France 18-16 in a FIBA 3×3 Women’s World Cup quarterfinal game Saturday.

Williams scored a team-high eight points and had one rebound. Her LSU teammate Milaysia Fulwiley scored three points and had three rebounds.

South Carolina’s Joyce Edwards scored six points and had four rebounds. Oklahoma’s Sahara Williams had one point and four rebounds.

The USA plays Azerbaijan in the semifinals Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Defending champion The Netherlands faces Australia in the other semifinal at 10 a.m.

The winners play for the gold medal at 1:45 p.m.
