College softball: BPCC’s Costes named to All-Louisiana second team

Bossier Parish Community College pitcher Clélia Costes has been selected to the 2026 All-Louisiana Second Team by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association, earning recognition as one of the top arms in the state across all levels of collegiate softball.

The All-Louisiana teams include student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA programs. Costes joins a list of honorees representing programs from LSU, Louisiana Tech, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern, Louisiana-Lafayette, LSU-Alexandria, Nicholls, Northwestern State, Dillard, Louisiana-Monroe, and McNeese. A Louisiana Sports Writers Association panel of media and college sports publicists selected the All-Louisiana team and the major awards.

A native of Grenoble, France, Costes established herself as one of the premier arms in junior college softball, finishing her first season with an18-8 record, a 2.08 ERA and a Region XIV-leading 184 strikeouts. She also ranked No. 2 nationally among NJCAA Division I pitchers
