Robinson Film Center (RFC) announced today that it is moving forward with a renewed focus on its core mission to educate, enrich, and entertain through the power of film. As part of this transition, Chef Niema DiGrazia will independently operate the restaurant space under her own management, allowing both organizations to pursue their distinct visions and continue serving the community in meaningful ways.
Since 2008, RFC has evolved into one of Northwest Louisiana’s leading cultural institutions, providing independent, international, classic, and local cinema, alongside film education, media literacy programs, workforce development opportunities, and community events for people of all ages. RFC serves students through field trips and workshops, supports aspiring filmmakers through camps and youth programs, and creates spaces for civic dialogue and cultural celebration.
“This transition allows us to focus more deeply on what we do best, which is using film as a tool for education, connection, and community impact,” said Wendell Riley, Executive Director of RFC. “We are excited about the opportunities ahead and grateful to Chef Niema DiGrazia for her contributions. We look forward to cheering on her continued success.”
RFC’s upcoming season will feature an expanded slate of educational offerings, new film-centered community experiences such as the launch of Cover to Credits, a new series exploring the connection between literature and cinema. Additional programming announcements will be made in the coming months, including a final installation timeline for RFC’s highly anticipated theater seat replacement project, which will enhance comfort and accessibility for RFC’s patrons.
“Like many arts organizations, we have had to evolve, especially in a post-pandemic landscape,” said Riley. “In a sense we are getting back to basics, leaning into what we do well, and addressing the ways we can better serve our patrons, and Northwest Louisiana as a whole. Community support is critical at this time, because as a non-profit we rely on sponsorships, donations, and most of all, patronage. Supporting our mission is as simple as becoming a member, seeing a movie here, or booking our amazing event space for your next corporate or social gathering.”
