State Fire Marshal investigators arrested a Doyline man this week after
an investigation into multiple intentionally set fires in Webster Parish, including a fire that led to attempted
second-degree murder charges.
Shane Reeve, 44, of Doyline, was arrested and booked on two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder,
Aggravated Arson, False Imprisonment, two counts of Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling,
Unauthorized Use of a Movable, Simple Arson, Fire Raising on Lands of Another with Malice, four counts of
Simple Criminal Damage to Property, and two counts of Criminal Trespass.
The investigation began on August 18, 2026, when Webster Parish Fire District 3 requested assistance from the
Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (SFM) following a vehicle fire in the 300 block of Junior Edwards Road
in Doyline.
During the investigation, SFM investigators discovered additional fires in the 100 block of Green Park Resort
Road. Those fires were determined to have been intentionally set, prompting further investigation that ultimately
led to Reeve’s arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing. No additional details are available at this time.
