The Bossier Parish Police Jury will hold a news conference to formally announce a $25
million federal Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant
awarded through the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The funding will support construction of a new east-west roadway connection from
Winfield Road to Benton Road. The project will strengthen Bossier Parish’s
transportation network, improve regional connectivity, and support access to Barksdale
Air Force Base.
Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development Secretary Glenn Ledet will
attend and deliver special remarks on behalf of the state.
