On Sept. 18, at approximately 12:53 pm, out of an abundance of caution, Barksdale Air Force Base initiated a lockdown. There have been no injuries to Team Barksdale and there is currently no threat to the installation. An injured individual gained unauthorized entry onto the base. Our emergency personnel responded in conjunction with local law enforcement to address the situation.
This incident is not connected to the incident this morning, and Barksdale remains committed to ensuring the safety of the base and community.
The incident remains under investigation by Bossier City Police Department.
