Today, State Fire Marshal investigators arrested Tanya Angel, 50, of Ball, for aggravated arson after she set a fire that destroyed a residence and spread to a neighboring home on September 5, 2026.
The Ball Fire Department responded to the 10 block of Eva Lane in Ball around 2 a.m. on September 5, 2026, and requested assistance from the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (SFM).
SFM Investigators determined Angel intentionally set the fire. The fire spread to a neighboring home and forced the evacuation of the people inside. No one was injured.
