A longtime Shreveport restaurant is preparing to expand into Bossier City, with a “Coming Soon” sign now posted near the former Wendy’s location on Industrial Drive.
Yeero-Yeero!!! announced plans for the second location through its Facebook page, sharing the family’s excitement about continuing a restaurant tradition that began nearly three decades ago.
The restaurant was opened by Athanasios Triperinas, known as Tom, and his family on Youree Drive in 1997. The family said the restaurant was established as the only Greek, family-owned restaurant in the Shreveport-Bossier area.
The business has remained on Youree Drive for 29 years, becoming a longtime fixture in the Broadmoor neighborhood and building a loyal customer base.
In announcing the new location, the family reflected on Tom Triperinas and the role he played in building the restaurant and serving the community.
“My Dad would be so proud that we are opening another location,” the family wrote. “This was his life. He worked 12 hours a day for 25 years at Yeero-Yeero.”
The family said Tom cared deeply about the community and that they want to continue the work he started.
The restaurant has attracted generations of regular customers, with some visiting since the business first opened in 1997.
According to the family, Yeero-Yeero!!! was built as a commitment to Shreveport and the community rather than simply as a business venture.
Now, nearly 30 years after opening on Youree Drive, the family is preparing to bring the restaurant to Bossier City.
The “Coming Soon” sign near the former Wendy’s on Industrial Drive gives residents their first visible indication of the new location.
Additional details, including an opening date, have not yet been announced.
