For generations of families across northwest Louisiana, a school field trip to the Red River
Revel has been part of growing up. Since the festival began in 1976, more than 265,000 schoolchildren have
visited the Revel to make art, experience live music, and discover what their community can create together.

For its 50th anniversary, the Revel will partner with AT&T to welcome more than 5,000 students from Caddo and
Bossier Parishes during Arts Education Week, October 12–16, 2026, including every fourth-grade class in both
parishes. AT&T is providing $50,000 in additional funding to support the 4th grade programming in addition to
providing technology to foster care students in grades K-12.

“For a lot of families in this region, the Revel started with a school field trip,” said Executive Director Logan
Lewis. “Welcoming every fourth grader in Caddo and Bossier in our 50th year is the best way we know to honor
the people who built this festival and to hand it to the next generation.”

“Visiting the Red River Revel is something our fourth-grade students look forward to every year, and it’s a
wonderful extension of the emphasis Bossier Schools places on arts education,” said Bossier Schools
Superintendent Jason Rowland. “The arts play an integral role in STEAM — Science, Technology, Engineering, the
Arts and Math – and can serve as a launching pad for future careers and opportunities our students may one day
pursue.”
