BPCC students now have clear transfer pathways to pursue bachelor’s degrees at Louisiana Tech University

BOSSIER CITY, La. – Bossier Parish Community College and Louisiana Tech University have established an Education Pathway Partnership Agreement that streamlines the transfer process and provides students with advising and transfer information to help them reach their academic goals.

Now in effect, the agreement creates pathways to several bachelor’s degrees in Louisiana Tech’s College of Education and Human Sciences, including psychology, human development and family science, kinesiology and health science, elementary education, secondary education in biology, and secondary education in social studies. Students can transfer credits from BPCC associate degrees in arts, general studies, or science, including concentrations in social science, general science, natural science, and teaching grades 1-5.

“This partnership creates clearer pathways for BPCC students,” said Bateman. “By working together with Louisiana Tech, we are building on the strong foundation students establish at BPCC and helping them turn their ambitions into bachelor’s degrees and brighter futures.”

Each pathway identifies courses Louisiana Tech will accept, giving students and advisors a clear academic plan. Louisiana Tech advisors will work directly with BPCC students to review transcripts and confirm how their credits apply.
