The Bossier City Police Juvenile Division has issued an arrest warrant for 37-year- old Sharonica Davis on a charge of
attempted second-degree murder following an investigation into the severe injuries of a 4-year-old child.
The case began on April 8, when the child was taken to Ochsner Medical Center with fractures to both wrists and forearms.
Initial reports claimed the child had fallen from a second-story window at the Mirage Apartments on East Texas Street.
However, after conducting multiple interviews, investigators determined that Davis allegedly caused the injuries by kicking
the child out of the window.
Davis was later interviewed at the Caddo Correctional Facility, where she is already being held on other charges.
The child has since received medical treatment and was released under the care of the Department of Children and Family
Services.
