The boil advisory for residents along Hwy 614, Virginia Road, and Stewart
Road in Haughton has been officially lifted.
The advisory was issued after a leaking valve was discovered, prompting a
temporary two-hour shutdown of the water service for repairs. As a
precaution, Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District #1 issued an
advisory for affected customers.
Water samples were tested by the Louisiana Department of Health Lab in
Shreveport and confirmed safe. No further action is needed.
