Bossier City leaders officially unveiled a new brand identity Wednesday, July 1, introducing the tagline “A City on the Move” as part of a long-term effort to reflect the city’s continued growth, vision and commitment to the future.

The new branding was revealed during a public launch attended by Mayor Tommy Chandler, members of the Bossier City Council, city administrators, business leaders, community partners and residents.

City officials said the initiative is the result of nearly a year of research, community input and strategic planning. The process included conversations with residents, local businesses, educators, military representatives and community stakeholders to better define the values that will guide Bossier City’s future.

“This brand is more than a logo or tagline,” said City Council President Chris Smith. “It is a declaration of who we are and where we are going. It reflects the momentum we see throughout our city and our commitment to moving forward with purpose, partnership, and progress.”

Officials said the new identity is centered around four key principles: Safety and Stability, Service with Integrity, Disciplined Growth, and Community Connection. Together, those values will serve as the foundation for city messaging, planning and future development.

The slogan, “A City on the Move,” is intended to capture Bossier City’s ongoing progress through investments in infrastructure, economic development, public safety, recreation and quality-of-life improvements while continuing to position the city for future growth.

Mayor Tommy Chandler said the city’s success is built on collaboration among local leaders, businesses and residents.

“The success of Bossier City is the result of strong partnerships between city leadership, the City Council, businesses, educators, military partners, and our residents,” Chandler said. “This new brand reflects the pride we have in our community and our shared commitment to moving Bossier City forward together.”

The branding campaign also introduces two companion themes — “Bossier Moves For” and “Bossier Moves With.” The concepts are designed to emphasize both the city’s commitment to serving its residents and its partnerships with organizations and industries that contribute to the community’s success.

Examples include “Bossier Moves for Public Safety,” “Bossier Moves for Business,” “Bossier Moves for Education,” and “Bossier Moves for Our Military,” while additional messaging highlights collaboration through phrases such as “Bossier Moves with Entrepreneurs,” “Bossier Moves with Visionaries,” and “Bossier Moves with Local Leaders.”

During the event, city officials pointed to several recent accomplishments that reflect the new brand, including major infrastructure improvements, continued investments in public safety, expanded recreational opportunities, economic development projects and ongoing support for the military mission at Barksdale Air Force Base.

Chief Administrative Officer Shane Cheatham said the new identity represents more than a marketing campaign.

“Bossier City is moving with intention. We are moving together. And we are moving forward on behalf of the people we serve,” said Shane Cheatham, Chief Administrative Officer. “This brand reflects that commitment and the momentum that continues to shape our community.”

City officials said the new branding will be phased into city communications, websites, signage, marketing materials and public engagement efforts over the coming months as Bossier City continues to build on its vision for the future.
