The Bossier Parish Police Jury is moving forward with a $1.6 million road improvement
project that will bring smoother, safer travel to several roads across the parish.
Work is expected to begin next week on May 11, with crews starting in the northern part
of parish and gradually working their way south. The project will include asphalt overlay
on key routes, helping extend the life of existing roadways and improving everyday
driving conditions for residents.
“This is exactly the kind of investment our residents expect from us depend on every
single day,” said Police Jury President Tom Salzer. “We’re proud to move this project
forward and continue improving transportation that makes a real difference in the quality
of life across Bossier Parish.”
During construction, drivers can expect alternating lane closures as crews work to
complete the project safely and efficiently. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, stay
alert, and be prepared to encounter workers and equipment in multiple locations as the
project progresses. Residents are encouraged to plan for minor delays and allow extra
travel time while work is underway.
Roads Included in the Project:
Linton Cutoff Road – from Cypress Forest north toward Highway 162
Parks Road – from S. Lakeshore Drive to Crouch Road
Johnson Koran Road – approximately 1 mile north of Highway 527
Koran Doyline Road – from Highway 527 to the parish line
“Investing in infrastructure is investing in our future,” added Parish Administrator Ken
Ward. “Projects like this help keep Bossier Parish moving forward.”
