Due to hazardous road conditions, the Bossier Parish Courthouse, the Viking Drive
Substation, the Arthur Ray Teague Substation, and the Detectives Offices located
on the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City will be closed on Monday, January 26,
2026.
The decision to reopen these facilities on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, will be
announced after a reassessment is complete.
Warming Centers provided by the Sheriff’s Office currently operating at the
Viking Drive Substation at 2510 Viking Drive in Bossier City, and the Re-Entry
Building at 181 McCauley Drive in Plain Dealing will be discontinued at 5:00
P.M. this evening.
We appreciate the public’s cooperation and thank everyone for heeding the
warnings from local and state authorities regarding the potential dangers associated
with the winter storm. The safety of our citizens and employees remains our top
priority.
