Bossier Parish Community College student Jailyn Guillory has been selected to serve as the 2026-2027 SkillsUSA Louisiana Postsecondary State President, a distinguished leadership appointment recognizing her commitment to professional development, service and career and technical education.
As Postsecondary State President, Guillory will represent Louisiana’s postsecondary SkillsUSA members at state and national events, serve as an ambassador for career and technical education and work alongside fellow state officers to advance the organization’s mission and Framework. Throughout her term, she will support statewide initiatives designed to strengthen student leadership, professional development and workforce readiness.
“Being selected to represent Louisiana is such an incredible privilege, and I am so grateful to our Executive Director, Quentin Kelly, and the staff at LCTC for choosing me for this opportunity,” Guillory said. “SkillsUSA has done so much to prepare and support me for the workforce, and I want every student involved to have that same experience. Our leadership team and I have so many ideas to share and develop throughout the coming year as we work to serve and strengthen the communities around us. The SkillsUSA community is looking forward to a proactive, impactful, and exciting year!”
BPCC Chancellor Dr. Rick Bateman Jr. congratulated Guillory on the appointment, recognizing her leadership and the significance of representing BPCC and Louisiana in the statewide role.

Jim Boyter, BPCC’s SkillsUSA advisor, commended Guillory for her leadership and dedication to SkillsUSA and its mission.

SkillsUSA is a national career and technical student organization that works in partnership with students, educators and industry to strengthen the nation’s skilled workforce. Through leadership development, technical skills competitions and career-focused experiences, SkillsUSA provides students with opportunities to develop the personal, workplace and technical skills necessary for career success.
Guillory’s appointment also reflects BPCC’s continued commitment to career and technical education and to providing students with opportunities to develop as professionals and leaders beyond the classroom.
