Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. (NASDAQ: CLMT) is set to recognize and support the efforts of six first responder agencies in Northwest Louisiana through grants totaling nearly $29,000. The award ceremony is scheduled for January 30 at 10 am at Calumet Shreveport, located at 3333 Midway Avenue, with media invited to attend. The grants aim to cover essential items that were not included in the agencies’ operating budgets.
The recipients of the grants and their respective allocations are as follows:
- Bossier Parish Fire District 1 – $4,500
- Thermal imaging cameras
- Haughton Fire Department – $4,895
- Groves ready rack Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hose dryer
- Haughton Police Department – $5,000
- Firearm enhancement certificate training
- Shreveport Fire Department – $5,000
- Smoke alarms
- Webster Parish Fire District #8 – $4,524
- Haz-mat kit and drum repair kit
- Webster Parish Sheriff – $5,000
- Equipment for the shooting range
Brian Marcinkus, Plant Manager of Calumet Shreveport, expressed gratitude for the dedication of first responders to community safety, stating, “Calumet is grateful for our first responders for their support of our communities. We’re thrilled to be able to return that support with supplies that make their jobs easier.”
These grants were made possible through the funds raised during the annual Calumet Open Charity Golf Tournament held in May 2023. In addition to the money generated from the golf outing, Calumet contributed additional funds to ensure that every application received could be awarded. This marks the second consecutive year that Calumet has provided grants to first responder agencies in the area.
