The City of Bossier City has issued a precautionary boil advisory for customers located along Sunflower Boulevard, Nottoway Place, Whitehall Drive, Rosedown Lane and Richland Place in Bossier City, LA 71112.
The advisory follows work by a local contractor relocating a water main near the intersection of Sunflower Boulevard and Highway 511 to accommodate the Highway 511 widening and bridge project. The 10-inch water main was isolated to allow the work to proceed.
Repair work is expected to be completed, and water service restored, by 12 p.m. today, Friday, October 16, 2026.
As a precaution, affected customers are advised to boil water for one (1) minute before consuming it until the advisory is officially rescinded. This recommendation applies only to water used for consumption.
The City plans to submit one water sample on Monday, October 19, 2026, as part of the process to evaluate water quality.
This is a precautionary boil advisory, not a boil order. Affected customers should continue following the advisory until the City of Bossier City officially announces that it has been rescinded.
Please refer to the attached map for the specific area affected by the advisory.
