Parkway senior Brennan Robin finished 12th out of 385 runners in the Coach T – Marcus Invitational elite boys division Saturday in Denton, Texas.
Robin covered the 5K course at North Lakes Park in 15 minutes, 8 seconds. Andrew Esparza of Round Rock won in 14:30.
Esparza’s time ranks No. 1 in Texas and No. 2 in the nation, according to MileSplit.com.
Parkway finished 12th out of 47 teams. Other Panthers in the scoring were Braxton Thomas (87th), Aiden O’Nishea (130th), Isaac Ruliffson (145th) and Pierce Dees (175th).
Parkway’s Alaina Stoute finished fifth in the JV girls race.
Elsewhere, Bossier’s Quinton Hodge won the boys race in the Choudrant Aggie Invitational. Hodge covered the course the 3-mile course in 15:45.95. Ouachita Christian’s Levin James was second in 16:17.56.
Benton finished third out of 29 teams in The Opener boys division in Jackson, Miss.
The Tigers scored 133 points. DeSoto Central won with 100.
Samuel Ivins led Benton with an 8th-place finish in 17:17.91. Perry Hearst of Germantown won in 16:20.26. The race had 311 competitors.
Other Tigers in the scoring were Dalton Bliss (14th), Carlos Rubacalva (15th), Cayden Clark (51st) and Jackson Wickstrom (56th).
Benton finished seventh out of 24 teams in the girls Red (5K) division.
Aaliyah Boston finished 10th out of 231 runners in 20:36.81. Chloe Parker of Coastal Mississippi won in 19:09.62.
Other Lady Tigers in the scoring were Avery Devita (18th), Jenna Novell (41st), Maddox Cisneros (63rd) and Layla Gamache (98th).
