The halls of Curtis Elementary School were filled with pride and nostalgia Tuesday, May 5, as graduating seniors returned to their former elementary school for the annual Senior Walk.
Dressed in caps and gowns, the seniors—many of whom once walked the same hallways as young students—gathered with classmates and school staff for a group photo before making their way through the campus. The event offered a full-circle moment, allowing graduates to reflect on how far they have come while inspiring current students to envision their own futures.
Adding to the emotion of the day, teachers created homemade posters lining the hallways, featuring photos of the graduates from their time as students at Curtis. As the seniors walked through, many paused to search for their younger selves, smiling and reflecting on the memories made during their early school years.
The Senior Walk has become a meaningful tradition in Bossier City, celebrating both accomplishment and connection. By returning to their alma mater, graduates not only honor their beginnings but also serve as role models for the next generation of learners.
As the seniors exited the building one final time, they left behind more than footprints in familiar hallways—they left a lasting impression on the students who one day hope to follow in their steps.
