Golf: Bossier City’s Hudson Greene ties for eighth in Louisiana Amateur Championship

Airline rising junior Hudson Greene finished in a two-way tie for eighth in the Louisiana Amateur Championship Sunday.

Greene shot a 2-over par 72 on the Metairie Country Club course. He finished at 4 over for the tournament.

Baton Rouge’s Connor Cassano Of Baton Rouge won for the second year in a row. He shot a 70 Sunday and finished at 4 under. Baton Rouge’s Greg Berthelot and Carter Schmitt finished tied for second, one stroke back.

Berthelot shot a 69 Sunday and Schmitt shot a 71. Third-round leader Grady Brame shot a 75 and finished two strokes behind Cassano.

After shooting a 74 in Thursday’s first round, Greene steadily rose in the standings. He shot a 67 in the second round and a 71 in the third.
