High school baseball: Plain Dealing holds off Castor

The Plain Dealing Lions defeated Castor 10-9 Monday at Castor.

The Lions scored six runs in the top of  fifth to take a 10-5 lead then held off a Castor rally.

Cade Demoss went 2-for-5 with three RBI. Jerry Harris went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Luke Bailey also had a hit.

Plain Dealing took advantage of 12 walks.

Starter Whitney Kirby went three innings. He struck out six. AJ Taylor pitched four innings in relief. He struck out five.

The Lions (1-1) visit Simsboro Tuesday.
