High school boys basketball: Airline, Bossier pick up first wins

The Airline Vikings and Bossier Bearkats picked up their first wins of the season Monday.

Airline defeated Mansfield 68-52 in the Green Oaks Thanksgiving Classic, and Bossier downed Ruston downed Ruston 64-37 in the City of Lights Tournament in Natchitoches.

Kevin White Jr. led Airline with 23 points. Rulon Bailey added 14 and Jusdan Gladney 16.

Airline (1-2) continues play in the Classic against Green Oaks Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.

Five Bearkats scored in double figures in Bossier’s victory. Lajerrion Benjamin and David Thomas had 13 and 12, respectively. 

JaTravian Bunnery scored 11. Kam Davenport and TJ Ambler-Barr chipped in 10 each.

Bossier (1-1) plays Evangel Christian Tuesday at 7:30 in the Decari Markray Classic at BPCC.
