High school boys basketball: Bossier comes up just short against defending non-select Division I champ Zachary

The Bossier Bearkats came up just short against defending non-select Division I state champion Zachary in the City of Lights Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Natchitoches Central.

The 2024-25 non-select Division II runner-up Bearkats fell 56-53.

Bossier got off to a slow start and trailed 29-19 at the half. Braylon Robinson scored 10 of his 19 points in the third quarter as the Bearkats cut the lead to two. But the Broncos held on for the victory.

Ron Dillard added 12 points for Bossier and TJ Bunnery had 10.

Zachary’s Ian Edmund hit four 3-pointers and scored 21 points.

The tournament concludes Tuesday. Bossier (1-1) plays H.L. Bourgeois at 1 p.m.
