The Parkway Panthers handed the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs their first loss 73-70 in the semifinals of the Brown Service Center Minden Holiday Classic Friday.
Parkway (5-5) faces Green Oaks (7-6) in the championship game Saturday at 8 p.m. The Giants defeated defending champion Minden 58-54 in double overtime in the other semifinal.
Parkway rallied from a 68-61 deficit in the fourth quarter.
The Panthers tied it at 68 with a 3-pointer with 1:03 left.
After the Bulldogs hit a layup, Kaleb Williams nailed a 3-pointer to give Parkway a 71-70 lead with about 45 seconds to play.
Desmond Wright sank two free throws with 17.5 seconds left. Gibsland-Coleman (15-1) missed a couple of 3-pointers in the final 10 seconds.
Caleb Evans led Parkway with 27 points. Kaleb Williams scored 23. He also had five assists and three steals.
Gary Burney had 11 points and five rebounds. Christian Thomas had seven rebounds and two blocks. Tristan Sedberry had six points and four rebounds.
