Parkway’s Brennan Robin and Airline’s Jayden Williams finished 1-2 in the Region I, Division I boys meet Thursday.
Robin, who won for the second straight year, covered the 3-mile course at the South Bossier Recreational Complex in 14 minutes, 57.9 seconds. Williams ran a 15:06.70.
Parkway won the boys team championship. The Panthers scored 50 points. Ruston was second with 75, Lafayette third with 95 and Benton fourth with 115.
Parkway, Benton and Airline qualified for the LHSAA State Meet Nov. 17 at Northwestern State.
Fourth-place Benton, fifth-place Parkway and seventh-place Haughton qualified in the girls division. Ruston dominated with 33 points. Byrd was runner-up with 82.
Benton’s Aaliyah Gonzalez and Claire Allen finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in 19:13.10 and 19:16.60, respectively.
Ruston’s Eden Dawsey won in 18:08.40. Her teammate Hallie Hebert was second in 18:26.80.
Parkway’s Ben Ruliffson was fifth in the boys race in 15:23.69. Benton’s Cooper Sims finished sixth in 15:34.40.
Parkway’s Noah Lafitte and Aiden O’Nishea were 10th and 12th, respectively, in 15:54.90 and 16:04.00.
Other parish runners in the top 30 were Airline’s John Austin Bonney (17th), Benton’s Dalton Bliss (20th), Parkway’s Landon Champagne (22nd), Benton’s Samuel Ivins (23rd), Parkway’s Isaac Ruliffson (26th) and Benton’s Bruce Warner (27th).
Parkway’s Caylee Weaver and Khaliyla Harris finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in the girls division in 19:41.60 and 19:46.90.
Other parish runners in the top 30 were Haughton’s Alyssa Giddings (15th), Haughton’s Clara Hicks (17th), Benton’s Maddox Cisneros (18th), Parkway’s Kiara Jackson (23rd) and Benton’s Ellie Allen (29th).
