The Bossier Bearkats and Plain Dealing Lions both fell Friday night.
Logansport 40, Bossier 12: At Logansport, the Bearkats got behind early and couldn’t mount a comeback.
Bossier fell to 2-1. Logansport improved to 1-2.
The Bearkats trailed 26-0 at the half. They scored in the third quarter to cut the lead to 20. Logansport added two more touchdowns in the fourth.
Despite the loss, Bossier sophomore quarterback Montrevell Lewis continued to shine.
He completed 13-of-20 passes for 162 yards with one interception. He also rushed for 106 yards on 16 carries and scored two touchdowns.
Dwayne Robinson had three catches for 79 yards. Jaylen James had six for 45 yards. Jamez Cobb had three for 34.
Bossier opens District 1-4A play Friday at home against Booker T. Washington. The Lions played Green Oaks Saturday.
Lakeside 52, Plain Dealing 0: At Plain Dealing, the Warriors proved to be too much for Lions.
Plain Dealing dropped to 0-2. Lakeside improved to 2-1.
Plain Dealing visits Haynesville in a District 1-1A opener Friday. The Tors (3-0) defeated Homer 54-6 Friday night.
