The Haughton Bucs improved to 6-0 with a 41-0 victory over the St. Frederick Warriors Thursday night in Monroe.

It’s the first time since the 2014 season that Haughton has won its first six games. St. Frederick dropped to 2-4 with its third straight loss.

Brandon Craig scored two touchdowns, giving him 19 on the season. The first was a run and the second a pass from Taylor Westhersby.

Reserves Nolan Simmons and Cade Coleman both scored rushing touchdowns.

Ethan Osbon and Brody Snider kicked two extra points. Jaxon Palmer kicked one.

Weathersby completed 14-of-25 passes for 200 yards. Simmons had 108 yards rushing on just three carries. Craig 101 on five. Eight Bucs got a chance to carry the ball.

Craig is just 51 yards short of 1,000 for the season.

Ethan Johnson caught eight passes for 103 yards. Craig caught two for 63. Six other Bucs had at least one catch.

Haughton led 28-0 at the half.

Haughton returns to District 1-5A play next Friday at home against Byrd. The Yellow Jackets (0-6, 0-2) lost to Huntington 33-28 Thursday night.

North Webster 22, Bossier 0: The Bearkats dropped the non-district game Thursday night in Springhill.

Bossier fell to 3-3. North Webster improved to 3-4 counting a forfeit victory over Carroll, which had its season canceled by the LHSAA after Week 2 because of a postgame incident.

Bossier gave up only one offensive touchdown. The Knights scored on an interception return and a fumble return.

Bossier resumes District 1-4A play next Friday at home against Booker T. Washington. The Lions (4-2, 1-1) lost to Northwood 58-26 Thursday night.
