Quarterfinal berths will be on the line for three parish teams when the LHSAA playoffs resume Monday night.

All three will be on the road against higher seeded teams.

In non-select Division I second-round games, No. 11 Parkway (20-8) travels to Slidell to face No. 6 Salmen (25-3) at 5:30 p.m. and No. 13 Haughton (24-9) heads down I-20 to Monroe to play No. 4 Neville (21-5) at 6.

In non-select Division IV, No. 19 Plain Dealing (16-14) visits No. 3 Arcadia (22-6) in a matchup of District 1-1A teams at 6.

Parkway has made it to at least the quarterfinals five straight seasons. Of course, the Lady Panthers reached the state title game the last four seasons winning in 2023 and 2024.

Parkway defeated No. 22 seed Fontainebleau 46-24 in the first round last week.

Salmen defeated No. 27 Benton 47-39. The Lady Spartans are back in the playoffs after a one-year absence. They have improved their win total by 17 games over the 2024-25 season.

Salmen and Fontainebleau are both in District 7-5A. The Lady Spartans defeated Fontainebleau 54-35 in their district matchup.

Salmen finished second in the district behind Slidell, the No. 2 seed. The Lady Spartans lost to Slidell twice 62-52 and 72-49. Their other loss was to Riverdale 67-60 in the second game of the season.

Besides Fontainebleau, the only common opponent Salmen and Parkway have is Benton. The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Tigers 54-23 in their district game.

Haughton is looking for its third straight quarterfinal berth. The Lady Bucs reached the semifinals last season for the first time in school history.

Haughton defeated No. 20 seed Sam Houston 36-22 in the first round.

Neville received a first-round bye. The Lady Tigers lost in the second round last year.

District 2-5A champion Neville comes into the game with a nine-game winning streak. The Lady Tigers’ last loss was to Parkway 64-59 on Jan. 6. Haughton defeated Parkway 44-43 in their district matchup.

Neville’s other losses were against Southern Lab 75-51, Captain Shreve 61-54 and Sterlington 53-46. Haughton lost to Shreve 63-56 in district play.

Plain Dealing is in the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2022. The Lady Lions defeated No. 14 South Plaquemines 42-27 on the road in the first round.

District 1-1A champion Arcadia, the state runner-up last season and the champion in 2024, received a first-round bye. The Lady Hornets defeated the Lady Lions 60-23 in district play Feb. 3. But Plain Dealing will be going into the game with some confidence having won seven of its last eight.
