The Haughton Bucs opened the 2025-26 season Monday night with a 5-2 victory over Northwood at Haughton.
Three other boys openers ended in ties.
Benton tied Loyola 2-2 at Tiger Stadium, Bossier and West Monroe played to a scoreless tie at West Monroe and Providence Classical Academy tied Captain Shreve 3-3 at Shreve.
In a girls opener, Haughton fell to Caddo Magnet 10-6 and Bossier lost to St. Frederick in Monroe.
Tyler Warren scored two goals for the Haughton boys. Ethan Osbon, Arlington Galdamez and Chris Marroquin scored one apiece.
Galdamez, Jose Renteria and Brody Snider all had assists.
Haughton visits Parkway Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Carson Bryant and Jak Kenyan scored goals for Benton. Josh Johanning and Joe Aboufaycal had the assists.
Benton is playing in the Loyola tournament which begins Thursday.
Josh Allen scored two goals for PCA. Christian Castillo scored one.
Allen, Josh Pearce and Boyd Carroll had assists.
PCA won the JV game 2-1 JT Durr scored the second goal on a assist by Charlie Schroeder. The first was an own goal.
PCA is scheduled to play in the Live Oak tournament Friday and Saturday.
In girls openers Tuesday, Benton hosts West Monroe and Parkway hosts West Ouachita.
