High school soccer: Haughton, Parkway girls tie in Bossier tournament

The Haughton Lady Bucs and Parkway Lady Panthers played to a 5-5 tie on the second day of the Bossier Futbol Classic Friday at Tinsley Park.

Brooklynne Branch led Haughton (3-4-1) with three goals. Madisyn Gullo and Natalie Nettles scored one each.

Emma Albarado scored all five of Parkway’s goals. The Lady Panthers are 7-0-1.

In boys games, Benton downed Ouachita Parish 4-1 and Bossier fell to Central Lafourche 4-1.

Benton improved to 3-2-2. Bossier fell to 4-3-2. Scores from the Airline-Huntington and Minden-Huntington games weren’t posted late Friday.

The tournament concludes today with games starting at 9 a.m. The last four games start at 3:40 p.m.

In the the St. Michael the Archangel girls tournament in Baton Rouge, Benton fell defending Division III state champion Parkview Baptist 4-0. It was only the second loss of the season for the Lady Tigers (9-2), who had won seven straight. Parkview improved to 6-1.
