High school soccer: PCA teams win; Parkway girls are 5-0; Bossier, Benton boys tie

The Providence Classical Academy boys and girls swept Huntington and the Parkway girls improved to 5-0 with a 10-0 District 1-II victory over Southwood Tuesday night.

In a match between two of the area’s boys programs, Bossier and Benton played to a scoreless tie.

Both teams are 2-1-2. Benton hosts West Monroe Monday. Bossier is playing in the Archbishops Hannan tournament Friday and Saturday.

The PCA boys won 5-2 and the girls won 9-0. 

Gabi Hamic scored three goals for the PCA girls and Ali Hamic had two. Josh Allen led the boys with three goals.

The Knights (2-1-2) host North Caddo Thursday. The Lady Knights (2-1-1) visit Caddo Magnet Wednesday.

The Parkway girls visit North DeSoto next Tuesday. 

Elsewhere Tuesday, the Haughton boys fell to Ruston 4-0. The Lady Bucs came up just short, falling 3-2. 

The Bucs (2-4-1) open District 1-I play next Tuesday against Byrd. The Lady Bucs are playing in the Captain Shreve tournament which starts Thursday.

In a Monday boys game, Airline defeated Parkway 6-1.
