High school swimming: Parkway’s Josiah Dang wins one event, takes second in another at the Division I state meet

Parkway senior Josiah Dang won one event and finished runner-up in another in Division I at the LHSAA State Swim Meet at the SPAR Aquatic Center in Sulphur

Dang won the boys 100-yard backstroke in 50.26 seconds. Destrehan’s Nathan Noel was second in 50.52.

Dang finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in 20.79 seconds. Thibodaux’s Bryce Naquin won in 20.71.

Parkway freshman Victoria Impson was 11th in the girls 500-yard freestyle. Senior Allie Taylor was 15th in the 100-yard butterfly.

Airline sophomore Tyler Bartels was 15th in the boys 100-yard breaststroke.
