High school wrestling: Parkway third in Peyton Plunkett TheRiot on the Red; five parish wrestlers win titles

Host Parkway finished third in third annual Peyton Plunkett TheRiot on the  Red tournament Saturday.

The Panthers scored 133.5 points. North DeSoto won with 161.5. Byrd was second with 138.5.

Whitehouse, Texas, was fourth with 120.5, El Dorado , Ark., fifth with 105.5 and Rosepine sixth with 103.5.

Airline was seventh with 101.5.

Airline had three weight-class winners — 

Kaleb Manuel (120 pounds), Jackson Larkins (126) and Bruce Bletz (150).

Parkway’s Avery Price (175) and Brody Leonhardt also won titles.

Runner-up finishers from parish schools were Parkway’s Christian Gentry (126), Zayden Normandin (165) and Bossier’s Joshua Lugo (285).
