As the region responds to the severe weather, LifeShare Blood Center urges their community members to donate today.

“Severe weather drastically impacts the local blood supply. LifeShare supplies blood and blood products to over 100 local hospitals; regardless of what is going on outside, patients in our communities still need blood,” says Mandi Johnson, Director of Community Engagement. “We’re asking our donors to be the sunshine in someone’s life, even during this stormy weather,” Johnson continues.

Community members are urged to safely travel to their nearest donor center to donate. To find a donor center near you, visit: www.lifeshare.org/locations-and-hours. All donors will receive a complimentary limited-edition umbrella.

LifeShare will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions. For up-to-date news and announcements about operations, visit: www.lifeshare.org.
