Louisiana National Guard Announces Death of Soldier

PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana National Guard announces the death of a Louisiana Army National Guard Soldier on Saturday.

Private First Class Austin Thomas Lilley, 23, Alexandria, La., died January 27, 2024 at Louisiana National Guard Training Center Pineville.

Pfc. Lilley was assigned as a military police officer to 2228th Military Police Company, 773rd Military Police Battalion, 139th Regional Support Group. He was in Title 32 status conducting inactive duty training at Louisiana National Guard Training Center Pineville.

He is survived by his mother and grandfather.

The incident is under investigation by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.
