Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Office of State Parks announce the winners of the 2027 Promotional Calendar Photo Contest, celebrating the spectacular landscapes, wildlife, outdoor adventures, and historic treasures found throughout Louisiana’s state parks and historic sites.
“Louisiana’s state parks are some of the most beautiful places in our state, and these photographs do an incredible job of capturing what makes them so special. From our bayous and lakes to our forests, beaches and historic sites, there is something for everyone to discover,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “We are proud to showcase the incredible talent of these photographers and hope these images inspire even more people to get outside and experience Louisiana State Parks for themselves.”
Photographers from across Louisiana submitted hundreds of stunning images capturing the beauty and character of Louisiana’s state parks and historic sites. The winning photographs highlight the diverse landscapes, wildlife, recreational opportunities and historic places that make the state park system a destination for residents and visitors throughout the year.

“I’ve always said there’s no better way to see Louisiana than getting out and exploring it, and these photos prove it. We’ve got incredible parks, beautiful wildlife, amazing sunsets and some of the most unique places you’ll find anywhere. We want to congratulate all our winners and thank everyone who took the time to share their photos. We hope this calendar inspires folks to visit a park they’ve never been to and make some memories of their own,” added Lt. Governor Nungesser.
The grand-prize winner will receive a $1,000 Louisiana State Parks gift card, and the winning photograph will be featured on the cover of the 2027 calendar. Each monthly winner will receive a $250 Louisiana State Parks gift card, with their photograph featured in the calendar.
The 2027 Louisiana State Parks Promotional Calendar will be available later this year, while supplies last, and will showcase spectacular photography from state parks and historic sites across Louisiana. The annual calendar serves as both a keepsake and an invitation for residents and visitors to explore Louisiana’s natural beauty, outdoor recreation and rich cultural heritage.
