Following an investigation into fires set behind two separate businesses in Natchitoches, State Fire Marshal (SFM) investigators arrested Seth Leach, 20, of Natchitoches, on September 14, 2026, and charged him with two counts of Aggravated Arson.
On September 6, 2026, the Natchitoches Parish Fire Department responded to fires in the 300 block of South Drive in Natchitoches and requested assistance from the SFM.
During the investigation, SFM investigators determined that the fires were intentionally set behind the buildings. Investigators identified Leach as the suspect.
The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office reminds the public that anyone with information regarding fire-related crimes is encouraged to submit an anonymous tip by visiting lasfm.org and selecting the “Arson Fires” icon.
