Louisiana Key Academy (LKA) invites parents, students, and community members to an Open House
on Tuesday, January 14, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at our LKA Caddo Campus, located at 261 Arthur Avenue, in
Shreveport’s Broadmoor Neighborhood. This event offers families the chance to explore LKA’s innovative approach to
helping students with dyslexia and discover how early identification and specialized instruction can change lives.
At the Open House, parents will meet our expert educators, tour the campus, and learn how our evidence-based
curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of students with dyslexia. Louisiana Key Academy is a tuition-free, public
charter school with and students throughout Northwest Louisiana are eligible to apply. Free dyslexia screenings are
available!
Does Your Child Show Signs of Dyslexia?
Signs of dyslexia can appear as early as kindergarten, and early identification is key to ensuring academic success. Ask
yourself:
Is your child a slow or struggling reader?
Did your child have a speech delay?
Does your child struggle to learn and remember the alphabet?
Does your child find it hard to learn nursery rhymes or rhyme words?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, if your child is scoring below grade level on DIBELS or STAR Reading
Assessments, or if they were identified as at risk for dyslexia at the end of kindergarten, Louisiana Key Academy offers
solutions to support your child’s success.
LKA Caddo is still accepting applications for students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade for the 2024–2025 School
Year—It’s not too late to apply! Enrollment for 2025-2026 School Year will begin in February 2025 for students in First
through Sixth Grade.
