Shreveport-Bossier officially kicked off the 2025 holiday season with a major announcement: the beloved Holidays on the Red celebration has released its full slate of seasonal events, and a brand-new attraction inspired by one of the region’s most cherished storytellers is set to take center stage.

On Thursday, Visit Shreveport-Bossier revealed “A JOYCEful Holiday,” an immersive exhibit created by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and inspired by the whimsical works of local author and illustrator William Joyce. Best known for his magical, imaginative holiday stories, Joyce’s creations will come to life inside ArtSpace in downtown Shreveport when the exhibit opens Friday, November 14.

Families can step inside the colorful world of The Glitter Kittens, the newest addition to Joyce’s holiday universe, along with iconic favorites like Santa Calls and Rocket Puppies. The experience features oversized art installations, hands-on creative activities, and glittering surprises throughout the exhibit. Admission is free, making it an accessible holiday outing for families of all ages.

“Holidays on the Red represents the heart of our region—our traditions, our creativity, and the joy we share during this special time of year,” Visit Shreveport-Bossier announced in a release. “A JOYCEful Holiday is something truly unique, and we’re thrilled to bring William Joyce’s magic home for everyone to enjoy.”
