Residents of the East Highland Mobile Home Park in Haughton are advised of a
temporary water service interruption due to unforeseen circumstances during ongoing
construction work.

Earlier today, construction crews installing new water meters in the park accidentally
damaged several units, prompting an immediate shutdown of water service. The
interruption is expected to last approximately two hours while repairs are made.

As a result of the shutdown, an automatic boil advisory has been issued for all residents
in the park. This advisory is a precautionary measure to ensure public health and safety.

Boil Water Instructions:
Residents are urged to:
 Bring tap water to a full rolling boil for at least one minute before use.
 Boil water even if it has been filtered.
 Use boiled or bottled water for:
o Drinking
o Cooking
o Brushing teeth
o Preparing food

Water samples will be collected and submitted to the Louisiana Department of Health’s
Office of Public Health in Shreveport for testing. The boil advisory will remain in effect
until test results confirm the water is safe for consumption.

Updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
