The Bossier Chamber of Commerce Hosts Northwest Louisiana Job Fair

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce hosted a premier hiring event (Northwest Louisiana Career & Job Fair) at the Bossier Civic Center on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Sponsors for the Bossier Chamber of Commerce job fair event included: the City of Bossier City, Louisiana Workforce Commission, Louisiana Work for Warriors, SLB, Dress for Success Shreveport-Bossier, Elle Foundation, Bos-Man’s Barber College, LA Works, Goodwill Industries, The Coordinating Development Corporation, City of Shreveport, KSLA, 2d Bomb Wing, Airman and Family Readiness Center, Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.

“Thank you to the Bossier Chamber and sponsors for holding today’s job fair. It’s always nice to meet new faces looking for a job and to get to know people who are eager to get to work. This is always such a nice event, and I am happy to be a part of it,” said Lori Yokem, Marketing Specialist with Elite Health Solutions.

The goal of the job fair was to improve the unemployment rate of community members and veterans in the Ark-La-Tex region. There were more than 80 vendors present at the event. The vendors conducted on-the-spot interviews during the event.
